Story of the wine:
Barbaresco is from the village of that name and its surrounding villages just northwest of the town of Alba in Piemonte. It is a wine of great elegance and refinement but with a powerful structure. It is always and usually unfairly compared with its more famous neighbour Barolo.
This particular Barbaresco is named after a novel “La Casa in Collina” by the famous Piemonte’s novelist Cesare Pavese.
Grape: 100% Nebbiolo
Area: From grapes grown in the Barbaresco region.
Barbaresco, one of Italy’s greatest wines, is from the village of that name in Piemonte. It is a more elegant, refined version of its more famous neighbour Barolo. A classic Nebbiolo nose, an intense perfume and grip. On the palate it has plenty of fruit and structure of soft tannins to follow.
