The Pfalz is Germany’s biggest and perhaps most exciting wine region” Hugh Johnson’s Wine Atlas 7th Edition 2013) Riesling is without doubt one of the greatest of the world’s wine grapes. When made in Germany Riesling is frequently medium dry to sweet. However, over recent years there has been a growing trend to make dry wines. The Ruppertsberger co-operative founded over 100 years ago, has an excellent reputation for the quality of its wines and its dynamic approach.

The Riesling grape is one of the world’s greatest and arguably one of the most under-rated varieties. This dry version illustrates the point. Soft rounded slightly aromatic nose. The palate is typical of Riesling with bags of flavour, a crisp edge and elegant finish.
