Story of the wine:
Beaujolais-Villages comes from 38 communes in the northern, hillier and granite based part of the Beaujolais region and has a reputation for offering value for money. This wine comes from vineyards in the village of Cercie which is in the cru of Brouilly. The Bereziat family have owned and run the winery since 1997 and named it after Saint Ennemond, a 7th century saint, whose chapel is adjacent to the estate (the legend is that stroking the magical stone in the chapel cures you of stomach upsets and eye diseases!). It is a small estate with only 15ha of vineyards

This Beaujolais-Villages is value for money particularly because the produces vineyards are all in the top Cru of Brouilly. A light cherry nose with a touch of strawberry. A good depth of fruit on the palate.
