Story of the wine:
South African wines have been steadily improving in quality over the last 25 years and Sauvignon Blanc is one of the key white varieties in the country. The name of the winery, Allee Bleue, refers to the statuesque blue eucalyptus trees that line the entrance and the estate, which goes back to the French Huguenots in the late 17th century has been recently revived. This wine is from the cooler vineyards of Walker Bay south of Cape Town.

South Africa is emerging as an increasingly important region for Sauvignon Blanc with its Antartic influences to keep the variety refreshing. A classic Sauvignon nose with added tones of fresh guava, followed by a firm palate and a long, crisp finish.
