Story of the wine:
South African wines have been steadily improving in quality over the last 25 years and the reds are focused on Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The name of the winery, Allee Bleue, refers to the statuesque blue eucalyptus trees that line the entrance and the estate, which goes back to the French Huguenots in the late 17th century, has been recently revived. The Starlette range from Allee Bleue represents what the winery considers to be their easy drinking value for money wines.
