Celebrating the 125th anniversary of the club, the 2011/12 Arsenal Home men's football shirt has a special-edition crest inspired by the history of The Gunners.

Founded in 1886 and called The Royal Arsenal, the unique crest features laurel leaves to represent strength and oak leaves to acknowledge the founders that met in the Royal Oak pub. Underneath the crest, is the first recorded motto related to the armament and battle - 'Forward'.

The classic style is inspired by the 1970's Arsenal football kits with a clean and refined look. Designed to be fast, modern and get supporters thinking about tradition: the club colours are displayed with a block red body contrasted by white short sleeves and red speed-stripe detail.
