The ASICS GEL System is based on a special kind of silicone that enables optimal shock absorbtion. Gel Units are strategically placed in the midsole and designed to enable specific functions and positions.

Forefoot ASICS GEL cushioning system
The silicone-based, GEL cushioning system in the forefoot reduces the loading forces that would normally be applied as the foot moves into propulsion. This reduces shear forces and along with integrated flex grooves, enhances propulsion.

Flex grooves
These are located in the forefoot and / or rearfoot and they act to increase flexibility in the shoe and enhance cushioning
